Q and A Friday: What's below the belt?

'Reading this article on why these 10 NC-17 rated films got that special rating...that got me asking -- 'what is' or 'isn't porn?'

Is just showing male 'Below-the-belt nakedness' or a bushy beaver really considered porn? And with the changing times, who gets to decide what is considered porn anyway?

Some of these films get that NC-17 rating for too many curses or frank sexual discussions, or its violence. Really, fake violence in a movie gets an X-rating?? Thats just stupid to me...

I'm pretty much of the jaded european perspective that says we can already see anything we want online --(usually No holes barred, mind the pun) -- so, some of those silly bellow the belt penis shots are not going to change my world views, or give me nightmares.

I understand the need for a ratings system (especially for kids), but, I also think everything has a place, and consenting adults should be able to have a choice on what they want to see.
