Why would anyone beat themselves up like this??

I'm heading back to reading at least one screenplay each week to brush up on the nuts-and-bolts of writing 'em for my screenwriting workshop in Oct '08.

I caught up with this book Screen Plays, first in the library -- (and then went out and bought a copy)...'it serves as a warning to anyone that goes out and talks-the-walk attempting to write a feature screenplays.

Each story sounds like your worst nightmare -- basically screams how Hollywood loves throwing folks under the bus; only to then leave them for road kill -- ('you'd have to have a sick yearning desire to be beaten and raped to work there)...'um, yeah, sign me up please!

'Found the conversations with the survivors that lived through it -- (all with the best of intentions) -- a testament to the flawed movie making process...'sad, but amazingly fascinating.
